The Imagine Cup All Star Match was the first event of the Imagine Cup and Rancho Santana FC Nicaraguan athlete development partnership. The 18 best players of the second edition of the Imagine Cup would be selected to represent the Imagine Cup All-Stars in a match against Rancho Satana’s juvenile team, in yet another opportunity to showcase their skills in front of first division scouts and directors.  

In accordance with Imagine’s Cup mission to provide participants with access to professional soccer, and thanks to sponsors, Imagine Cup took care of all expenses (transportation, hydration, food and uniforms), so that players could fully concentrate solely on their performance. The two best coaches from the Cup were also chosen to represent Imagine Cup in a managerial role, all their expenses were also covered.  

The week before the All Star Match, founders and coaches organized a friendly match as preparation for the game, the goal behind the friendly was to spark chemistry and enforce practice so that players were able to showcase their best versions of themselves in front of Rancho Santana FC scouts and directors. 

Despite the All-Star Match ending in a 2-1 narrow defeat, our players gained an experience that they’ll never forget. Participants got a taste of what it was like to play soccer professionally, but more importantly made friends for life. 

We also congratulate Frederick Garcia and Enoc Alvarado, who due to their performance in the All-Star Match, were invited to trials with Rancho Santana FC.
